Oil on cradled panelWhat drew me to paint this was the way the water holds the colors of the sunset —the warm pinks and oranges slipping into cooler purples and blues—making the reflection feel as alive and important as the plants themselves. In painting this, I focused on how the shifting light transforms the surface, making a more ethereal painting.
